Lovely rooms with quality linens.  Our garden and porch areas provide a welcome spot to relax, read a book, or enjoy a refreshment before going out to dinner.  We are conveniently located off Rt. 2, just 25 min. from I-91. Whether you want a quiet getaway from the hustle and bustle,or to have a more active visit to the country for boating, hiking, or skiing, we'll help to make your stay memorable.  We are also available for small weddings, reunions, or other events. Bourke Shire Farm Bed & Breakfast is a Colonial home in the beautiful countryside of Heath, MA. We've tailored each room, our amenities, and our hospitality to make your stay as enjoyable and relaxing as possible. We hope that our attention to detail to ensure your comfort, shines through each and every moment of your stay. 

We offer three options for stay: 

  • The Benjamin Room features a queen sized four poster bed with a connecting master bath. 
  • The Anna Room has a four poster queen sized bed and a twin bed with a private bath located across the hall. 
  • The Smith Room is a smaller room with a full sized bed designed to accommodate guests who need an additional room. This room can be combined with either the Anna room or the Benjamin room.

All guest rooms, located on the second floor, require climbing a flight of stairs.

THE Rooms


We have two friendly, indoor cats. We also have chickens and sometimes pigs on our farm. Our pets are kept from guest areas however we cannot guarantee areas are allergen free.

And all of our beds offer you the comfort of quality 100% cotton sheets and quilts so you can be certain that you'll return to life refreshed and relaxed.

Our home was built by Lt. Benjamin Maxwell in 1780.  It is listed on the National and State Historic Register and is located in the Town's Historic Center District. Our Bed & Breakfast, being an old country home, has creaky doors, wide-plank floors, and windows dating from 1830. We have made updates for the modern comforts one expects while keeping its original charm. However, we do not have cell phone service at the house in Heath but we do have internetIf you are looking for a comfortable, quiet, and relaxing getaway in the country, you won't be disappointed.  Come up to the beautiful and tranquil hills of Heath and leave your worries at home.
